MD&A’s Industrial Gas Turbine Division (IGT) in Houston, Texas, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory & Materials Coordinator. This position is responsible for receiving materials, managing consumables inventory, coordinating purchase order receipts, maintaining the Detail Cage inventory, and ensuring accurate material distribution and replenishment throughout the facility. Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation. Open all packages and inspect materials for accuracy, quantity, and condition. Receive materials and consumables into the ERP system accurately and in a timely manner. Manage and maintain inventory levels for consumables and Detail Cage stock items. Replenish consumables and inventory locations throughout the facility as needed. Distribute received materials to the appropriate departments, work centers, and personnel. Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure physical inventory matches ERP records. Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and receiving issues. Maintain organized records of receiving transactions, inventory adjustments, and stock movements. Ensure all materials are properly labeled, stored, and easy to identify. Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment requirements to Procurement and Operations. Coordinate material movement between warehouse, production, and storage locations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including consumables storage areas and Detail Cage locations. Assist with shipping activities when required. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. Engage professionally with vendors, delivery drivers, and internal personnel. Perform other related tasks assigned by management. Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent Forklift certification within 30 days of employment. Ability to adapt to fluctuating demands and manage multiple priorities. Proficient with personal computers Basic math and arithmetic Available to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as business requires.
