Inventory Coordinator
The Food Source International, Inc.Summary/Objective The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting inventory control activities at the Pottstown facility. This position coordinates and performs cycle counts, investigates inventory discrepancies, monitors inventory transactions, and implements corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy. The role works closely with Warehouse Operations, Inventory Control, Quality Assurance, and other departments to ensure accurate inventory records, material traceability, and efficient warehouse operations. The Inventory Coordinator also provides backup support for shipping and receiving activities as needed. Essential FunctionsThe Inventory Coordinator Will Coordinate and execute daily cycle counts and support full physical inventory counts in accordance with established schedules. Monitor physical inventory locations, system transactions, and material movements to identify and resolve discrepancies. * Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, document findings, and recommend corrective actions. * Perform inventory adjustments and system corrections in accordance with established approval procedures. Maintain accurate inventory records, including quantities, lot numbers, locations, and material status. * Prepare inventory reports, count documentation, discrepancy logs, and audit support materials. Partner with Warehouse Operations, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve inventory-related issues. Support inventory traceability, audit preparation, and compliance with food safety and quality requirements. * Assist with shipping and receiving activities and serve as backup to the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator. Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, warehouse processes, and operational efficiency. Support inventory projects and initiatives across company locations as assigned. Experience Requirements Minimum 3 years of inventory coordination, inventory control, or warehouse inventory experience, including cycle counting and physical inventories. Experience investigating inventory discrepancies and performing root-cause analysis. Working knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping and receiving procedures, and inventory transactions. Experience using ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and RF scanners. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, PivotTables, and inventory data analysis. Shipping And Receiving Experience Preferred. Forklift experience preferred but not required. Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Serve as the primary inventory contact for the Pottstown facility, communicating discrepancies, concerns, and corrective actions to the inventory team. Coordinate with warehouse personnel to verify physical inventory quantities and resolve location or transaction discrepancies. Maintain cycle count documentation, inventory reports, and records supporting inventory accuracy and traceability. * Follow established procedures for inventory adjustments, material holds, and inventory reconciliation. * Cross-train in shipping and receiving functions to provide operational backup when needed.
