Inventory Control Specialist
Mama's Creations, Inc.Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our supply chain and warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records, and optimizing warehouse processes. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, data analytics, and supply chain management will drive efficiency and accuracy across all inventory functions. Duties Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels using advanced warehouse management software and ERP systems such as Netsuit AS400 and SAP. Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and root cause analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Utilize data mining, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel data analysis techniques to analyze inventory trends, demand planning, and supply chain analytics. Collaborate with procurement, merchandising, logistics, and sourcing teams to optimize stock levels, pricing strategies, and category management initiatives. Lead process improvement projects focused on materials handling, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations efficiency. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate terms related to inventory replenishment, procurement costs, and logistics services. Support production planning by providing accurate inventory data for manufacturing schedules and materials management. Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure seamless coordination between warehouse activities, demand forecasting, and supply chain logistics. Experience Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management software (such as ERP systems like AS400 or SAP) Netsuit , and warehouse operations. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau; experience with SQL is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies including root cause analysis and category management strategies. Hands-on experience with forklift operation (certification preferred), materials handling equipment, shipping & receiving procedures. Background in procurement, sourcing negotiations, logistics inventory management, and supply chain analytics. Familiarity with demand planning techniques using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems; ability to perform financial analysis related to pricing and purchasing decisions. Excellent math skills combined with technical proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), inventory control systems, and inventory management software. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments; experience working in fast-paced warehouse environments is essential.
