KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Receive, transfer, pack, palletize, and ship materials as required.
• Put away, pull, return, count, and organize inventory materials.
• Operate the Vertical Lift Machine (VLM) to store and retrieve materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts using computerized inventory systems, scanners, and counting tools.
• Follow FIFO procedures and ensure materials are properly organized, identified, and released.
• Organize and store materials on racks, shelves, and bins according to established procedures.
• Pull parts and prepare internal orders according to production documentation and work instructions.
• Inspect parts and products for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report concerns to the Supervisor.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist with inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, files, databases, and documentation.
• Respond to inquiries regarding the availability and status of parts and orders.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and audits.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in team meetings, daily huddles, and quality initiatives as required.
• Provide backup support to other team members and perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have:
• High School Diploma required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, or a related field is an asset.
• Previous experience in inventory control or a manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Knowledge of inventory control procedures and computerized inventory systems.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with ERP systems such as EPICOR is an asset.
• Ability to read and follow production documentation, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is an asset.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/quality management systems is an asset.
• Valid forklift certification is considered an asset.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to push, pull, carry, and handle materials as required.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime when required.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
