Inventory Clerk

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate management and organization of inventory within our warehouse and distribution centers. Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and AS400 platforms. Conduct regular data collection, mining, and analysis to monitor stock levels, identify discrepancies, and forecast demand. Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to support procurement activities and negotiate with suppliers for optimal purchasing terms. Utilize analytics tools such as Tableau and Power BI to visualize inventory trends, improve processes, and support decision-making. Manage warehouse distribution activities, including order picking, packing, and shipment coordination for both retail management and e-commerce channels. Support materials management by coordinating with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and overseeing order fulfillment operations. Implement process improvements based on data insights to enhance efficiency in warehouse operations and reduce waste or delays. Operate forklifts safely when necessary for inventory movement within the warehouse environment. Assist in sourcing strategies by analyzing data analytics related to supplier performance and inventory turnover rates. Experience Proven experience in inventory management within a retail or warehouse environment. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, Data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, and data analysis skills for effective decision-making. Familiarity with ERP systems such as AS400 or other warehouse management systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of demand planning, procurement processes, and supply chain operations. Experience with e-commerce fulfillment processes and retail merchandising is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required. Excellent negotiation skills paired with strong process improvement capabilities. Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and visualize large datasets to inform strategic actions.
