Inventory and Facilities Associate

About Sesame Solar Sesame Solar is seeking a dedicated Inventory and Facilities Associate to join our team in Jackson, Michigan. In this hands-on role, you will help manage daily inventory deliveries, safely transport materials, and support the general upkeep and maintenance of our factory and office facilities. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, organize, and track daily inventory deliveries and shipments. Material Handling & Transport: Safely move items to designated locations within the facility with Material Handling equipment. Vehicle & Equipment Operation: Operate a forklift and drive company vehicles, F-350 truck (or similar) , for material transit and facility needs. Facility Maintenance: Assist with general maintenance, upkeep, and troubleshooting around the factory and office. (Note: 3rd-party services handle office cleaning only). Administrative Support: Maintain accurate digital inventory records and documentation using Microsoft Office tools. **Materials Upkeep: **Keeping track for material inventory per project and predicting restocking to avoid manufacturing time loss. Qualifications & Requirements Required Skills & Experience Driver's License & Vehicle Operation: Valid driver's license with the proven ability to safely drive an F-350 truck (or similar large vehicle) . Forklift Operation: Forklift certification/skills preferred. Computer Literacy: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, especially Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Willingness to learn and implement AL tools as required. General Maintenance: Familiarity with basic facility maintenance and HVAC upkeep. Research Skills: Strong internet searching capabilities. **Consumable Research: **Basic understanding of consumable types and sizes - bolts, screws, drill bits, welding, paint etc. Education & Background Relevant coursework or background in Inventory Management, Facility Management and Business Administration SCHEDULE, WORKPLACE CULTURE & BENEFITS Schedule & Inclusive Hiring Standard Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET.
