POSITION SUMMARY : The Inventory Analyst will work with various departments to ensure product is rotated and shipped in accordance with company procedures. S/he will communicate discrepancies promptly to ensure customers are informed and invoicing can be adjusted. Manage inventory accuracy, product aging, rotation, and movement while coordinating with Production, Quality Assurance, Receiving, Shipping, Customer Service, Accounting, and outside shippers. Responsibilities include arranging shipments, preparing shipping and export documents, reconciling production and receiving transactions, investigating inventory discrepancies, correcting invoicing issues, making inventory adjustments, and providing daily updates to management. The role also manages production transactions related to process orders and inventory control while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, food safety, sanitation, GMP, and regulatory requirements. Weekend, holiday, and overtime availability may be required This position has the responsibility to always comply with Safety work rules as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, to reduce product and process variability. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Maintain product control and monitor inventory aging Coordinate the movement of aged inventory Verify that appropriate quantities of product usage are issued to production orders Collaborate closely with cycle counters to maintain inventory accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and identify root causes of inventory variances. Reconcile receipts with accounting records and resolve shipment discrepancies with carriers and suppliers. Create, process, and monitor Stock Transport Orders (STOs) to ensure accurate and timely transfer of inventory between facilities while maintaining inventory accuracy and product availability. Contact shipper if outside receipt regarding product over or short. Contact customer service to verify over or short with customer. Investigate and resolve product overages and shortages by communicating with the purchasing manager. Adjust inventory and check aging of products. Monitor and update inventory records daily, reporting significant inventory adjustments to management Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following established safety policies and procedures and applying safety principles to all job duties and responsibilities. Maintains compliance with quality standards and GMP requirements, ensuring sanitary conditions and product quality are consistently upheld. Reports on any conditions or practices that could adversely affect food safety, quality, or regulatory compliance to management Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require. EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: EXPERIENCE: Minimum one-year experience with Warehousing preferred. Proficient with computer applications. Must be detail orientated. Experience with SAP preferred LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, fractions, ratios. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
