No prior experience is required, but industry experience is preferred. All new hires receive full training. Previous office experience and familiarity with Microsoft programs is a plus. Role The Import Administrator is responsible for managing assigned import shipments from beginning to end, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable Customs and governmental requirements. The Administrator serves as a primary point of contact for customers and takes ownership of their shipments and accounts. Responsibilities Process import customs entries and related documentation accurately and in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures. Review shipping documents and coordinate activities such as customs clearance, bonds, inspections, delivery, insurance, and document distribution as required. Communicate with customers throughout the shipment process, providing updates and assisting with import-related questions and requirements. Prepare and issue customer invoices, verify billing information, and assist Accounting with invoice collection. Maintain accurate shipment files, records, and detailed notes in accordance with company procedures. Assist customers with import procedures and provide guidance or direct them to appropriate resources when needed. Maintain current knowledge of Customs regulations, tariffs, and import procedures through ongoing training and professional development. Work collaboratively with the Import Department and assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
