Job Type: Full-time • Class 1 Driver • Cross-Border (Canada/USA) About the Role Laidlaw Carriers Van is seeking experienced Class 1 Highway Company Drivers based in Halifax, NS . You will haul Dry Van freight throughout Canada and the United States. Our operations run 24/7 , and drivers are typically on the road 7–10 days at a time . We are looking for professional drivers committed to safety, reliability, and strong communication. Responsibilities Haul freight between Canada and the U.S. Follow all safety, compliance, and cross-border regulations Complete dispatch-assigned work efficiently and professionally Maintain accurate logs and required documentation Requirements Valid AZ licence or Class 1 Minimum 2 years of verified Canada/USA driving experience Clean CVOR and Driver’s Abstract Clean criminal record check (required for cross-border travel) Must be willing and able to travel into the United States regularly Comfortable being out in the truck 7–10 consecutive days per week FAST Card preferred What We Offer Steady, year-round freight Supportive operations and safety teams Competitive compensation package and health benefits Strong cross-border support and reliable dispatch communication
