What are your contributions to the team? Develop and optimize production activity sequences for assembly workstations. Analyze and balance workforce requirements based on operational and production needs. Conduct observations and time studies to assess value-added activities and identify improvement opportunities. Develop, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure assembly process productivity and performance. Identify continuous improvement opportunities, support problem-solving initiatives, and implement solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Create work instructions and standard work charts by defining optimal task sequences and analyzing manufacturing requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain, to support operational objectives and drive performance improvements. How to thrive in this role? Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Automated Production Engineering, Operations and Logistics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Strong interest in manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, and lean/value-added production environments.Demonstrated project management and organizational skills. High level of initiative, autonomy, creativity, and practical problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of continuous improvement and diagnostic tools and methodologies, such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and material flow analysis. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in both French and English. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.Analytical mindset with a passion for identifying opportunities to improve processes and operational performance. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
