Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for a Intermediate Buyer. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Calgary, Alberta.

Responsibilities:

  • Purchases materials and equipment on a competitive basis as required by project or Company needs. 
  • Fully qualified to handle all but the most complex purchasing activities.
  • Typical assignments include engineered and non-engineered items. 
  • Identify, solicit and select reliable sources of supply of materials, equipment and services to support project execution and provide the required services to WorleyParsons, and its clients.
  • Works under supervision and self-initiated technical guidance with regular interaction with supervisor.

What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Typically, +5 years relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field.  Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues.
  • Highly communication skills. Influence participation in the preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations and reports.
  • Having a growth mindset and engaging in continual personal development and learning. Seeks opportunities to learn, develop and stretch to new experiences.
  • Being comfortable with problems that are complex and filled with uncertainty.
  • Being able to understand problems and perspectives from an external and/or internal client's point of view.    

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:    

Required:

  • University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
