Storeroom Attendant – Integrated Supply Location: 100 Tractor Drive, East Peoria, IL 61630 Number of Openings: 1 Employment Type: Contract – Temp-to-Hire Initial Assignment Duration: Approximately 3 Months (91 Days) Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite Regular Work Schedule: Third Shift – Monday–Friday, approximately 9:40 PM–6:00 AM Training Schedule: First Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:20 PM, for the first 3–4 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Minimum Experience: 3+ months of relevant experience and/or training Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, not required Driver's License: Current, valid driver's license is mandatory Physical Requirement: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Forklift Experience: Preferred, not mandatory; training/certification may be provided onsite Safety Footwear: Steel-toe shoes required; steel-toe shoes with internal metatarsal protection required after conversion to full-time employment Storeroom Attendant – Integrated Supply to support receiving, storing, issuing, auditing, and distributing industrial tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment at the Caterpillar facility in East Peoria, Illinois. The Storeroom Attendant will manage daily inventory and material-handling activities, including receiving shipments, organizing stock, issuing tools and materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and delivering materials between buildings across the customer campus. This position requires operating a battery-powered cart to transport materials between three buildings, supporting warehouse and production requirements, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized storeroom. The successful candidate must have a current valid driver's license, good computer skills, strong customer service abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3+ months of relevant experience and/or training . Current, valid driver's license – mandatory . Experience or aptitude in warehouse activities such as: Loading and unloading materials. Receiving and stocking products. Picking, packing, and moving goods. Organizing inventory and materials. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Basic computer knowledge and data-entry skills. Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds . Ability to walk approximately 4.5 miles per day . Ability to climb stairs approximately 18–20 times per shift . Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory. Preferred Qualifications & Technical Skills Warehouse & Inventory Operations Previous warehouse or storeroom experience. Receiving, stocking, and issuing tools and materials. Inventory control and cycle counting. Physical inventory and inventory auditing. Material handling and distribution. Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Equipment & Material Handling Forklift experience is preferred but not required. Cherry picker or other warehouse equipment experience is beneficial. Ability to operate or learn to operate battery-powered material transportation carts. Willingness to complete forklift and/or warehouse equipment certification if required. Computer & Inventory Systems Basic computer proficiency. Microsoft Office applications. Inventory data entry and record maintenance. Familiarity with Vista, Control, SX.e, or Prophet 21 is beneficial. Work Schedule & Training Regular Third-Shift Schedule Monday–Friday.
