The Box Truck Driver will operate a cargo van, ensuring that the vehicle is properly maintained, loaded, and unloaded according to company standards. Key Responsibilities Transport Goods: Safely drive a cargo van to deliver and pick up packages, materials, or goods to designated locations. Follow scheduled routes and timelines, adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Vehicle Maintenance and Safety: Perform basic inspections of the cargo van before and after each trip, ensuring it is in good working condition. Report any vehicle issues, damage, or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor. Ensure cargo is properly secured to prevent damage during transit. Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage. Ensure that cargo is stored and organized correctly in the van, using appropriate safety measures. Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with clients, customers, or recipients. Provide delivery confirmation and handle any questions or concerns from customers regarding deliveries. Documentation: Keep accurate records of deliveries, including delivery receipts, addresses, and any special delivery instructions. Ensure that all necessary documentation, such as invoices or delivery logs, is completed and submitted as required. Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols. Maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with all local and federal driving regulations. Follow all regulations regarding vehicle load limits and cargo handling. Other Duties: Assist in the planning of delivery routes and schedules as needed. Provide assistance with warehouse or logistics tasks as requested by management.
