This position combines deliveries with general warehouse duties while offering opportunities to learn and grow within our company. This position will report directly to the Saginaw Branch Manager. Primary Responsibilities Primary responsibility will be the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of products to our customers throughout Binkelman's service area. When not performing deliveries, you will support general warehouse operations, including order picking and staging, inventory organization, loading and unloading, light fabrication, and assisting with shipping and receiving as needed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, appreciates variety in their workday, values teamwork, and is willing to jump in and support the warehouse team wherever needed. Delivery & Transportation Safely load, secure, transport, and unload products using company delivery vehicles. Deliver customer orders accurately and on schedule throughout Binkelman's service area. Transport inventory, products, and materials between Binkelman locations as needed. Verify products against delivery paperwork before leaving the facility and upon delivery. Obtain required customer signatures and ensure delivery documentation is completed accurately. Pick up products from vendors and customer returns as needed. Communicate delivery delays, discrepancies, customer concerns, or other issues promptly. Perform required pre-trip and routine safety inspections of company vehicles. Immediately report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns. Keep assigned delivery vehicles clean, organized, safe, and fueled. Follow all company, DOT, and applicable driving and safety requirements. Represent Binkelman professionally and provide friendly, courteous service when interacting with customers and vendors. Support coworkers across departments to ensure customer satisfaction. Answer basic product questions and direct customers to the appropriate team member when needed. Warehouse Support When not performing deliveries, this position will actively support warehouse operations based on daily business needs. Responsibilities may include: Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided as needed). Pick, pull, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately. Load and unload company vehicles, vendor trucks, and incoming freight. Assist with putting away inventory and maintaining organized stock locations. Assist with cycle counts, stock replenishment, and inventory organization. Assist with light fabrication, assembly, or other order preparation as needed. Assist with shipping and receiving activities when additional coverage is needed. Learn key warehouse functions to provide additional support and coverage as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and work area. Assist with other warehouse and operational responsibilities as business needs require. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass and maintain a DOT physical/medical certification. CDL is not required. Ability to obtain a chauffer’s license. Ability to pass a drug screen and background check. Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform physical work throughout the workday. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
