INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS BOX TRUCK/CARGO VAN

Overview As an independent contractor providing box truck or cargo van delivery, you’ll move shipments from pickup to delivery with care, professionalism, and attention to safety. You’ll use route information and mobile devices to coordinate deliveries, handle freight, and provide helpful customer service. This role is suited to contractors with a suitable vehicle and experience in delivery or commercial driving. Responsibilities Pick up, load, transport, and unload shipments using a box truck or cargo van; use a personal vehicle when appropriate for the delivery. Plan and follow delivery routes, use mobile devices to manage delivery details, and adhere to traffic regulations and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Apply safe lifting practices and workplace weight-handling procedures when moving freight; operate a pallet jack and other material-handling equipment when needed. Provide courteous customer service and complete deliveries accurately and professionally. Your impact: Careful handling and dependable delivery help customers receive their shipments safely and on time. Experience Required: Valid authorization to drive the vehicle used for the work, safe driving habits, and the ability to load and unload freight and perform. Preferred: Delivery driver, courier, van driver, or commercial truck driving experience, including box truck operation, route driving, and manual-transmission vehicles. Warehouse experience, warehouse operations, moving, and material-handling equipment operation are helpful. Familiarity with commercial driving practices, DOT regulations, and safe weight handling in the workplace is an advantage. Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,100.00 per week Work Location: In person
