Duties Safely operate cargo vans or Sprinter vans to deliver packages and goods to designated locations within Tampa, FL. Load and unload cargo efficiently using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary. Follow established routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) safety standards. Conduct pre-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition before each shift. Communicate effectively using mobile devices to confirm deliveries, report issues, or update delivery statuses. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and professionally, addressing any customer questions or concerns. Maintain accurate delivery logs, complete shift reports, and document any incidents or delays promptly. Qualifications Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving and customer service excellence. Warehouse experience including material handling, moving heavy loads, and safe lifting practices. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles; familiarity with manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks is a plus. Knowledge of warehouse operations, heavy lifting techniques, and DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace.
