Independent Contractor Delivery Driver

JG Delivery has served Kansas City businesses for years, mostly truck and equipment parts. Our long-standing customers call in every day for the same kinds of deliveries, so the work is steady and consistent. Deliveries often pick up in the same area and head the same direction, so runs get combined, and that's a big reason contractors here earn more than at a typical courier job. Why contractors like working with us Steady daily work from a long-standing customer list, not app-based gig runs About 50% of each run's invoice , and combined runs add up quickly Flexible blocks. You choose your days and a block of 4 hours or more Long-term relationships with customers who get to know you Additional runs available for contractors who want them Availability we're looking to cover Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, 1pm to 9pm Saturday, 7am to 5pm Blocks like 8am to 12pm, 1pm to 5pm or 5pm to 9pm work well, as long as you reliably honor the days and hours you choose. Must haves Valid driver's license (no CDL needed) Clean driving record and willingness to pass a background and MVR check Current personal auto insurance on the vehicle you'll use Your own gas powered vehicle, 2010 or newer , big enough to fit a semi truck radiator: full size SUV, minivan, pickup truck, cargo van, or a Transit, Transit Connect or similar. Medium vans, midsize SUVs and large hatchbacks or wagons may work for some blocks. No sedans, compact SUVs, diesel vehicles or box trucks Smartphone for calls, texts and navigation 1099 independent contractor status (you handle your own taxes) Reliability. A regular block of 4 or more hours on the days you choose, honored every week Nice to have A fuel efficient vehicle like a Transit Connect, ProMaster City, NV200 or minivan Courier or delivery experience This isn't app work where runs get picked over one at a time. Our customers count on consistent coverage, so we partner with contractors who choose a block and honor it. The contractors who do best with us are dependable, quick to answer calls and texts, and professional with customers.
