Import Operations Supervisor – Mandarin Speaking

About the Role Wiseway Logistics Inc is seeking an experienced, hands-on Import Operations Supervisor to manage daily import operations, provide excellent customer service, and improve coordination between freight forwarding, trucking and warehouse activities at our Gardena facility. The successful candidate will take ownership of shipments, resolve operational issues, improve workflows and work closely with warehouse personnel to improve performance. Key Responsibilities · Manage air and ocean import operations, shipment documentation, customs clearance coordination and final delivery. · Handle customer enquiries, tracking, shipment exceptions and service issues. · Coordinate container arrivals, transloading, cargo handling, dispatch and warehouse transfers. · Work with the Warehouse Manager to improve productivity, accuracy and turnaround times. · Arrange and negotiate trucking, container drayage and local delivery services. · Develop SOPs, monitor operational performance and support continuous improvement. · Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, truckers, overseas agents and customers. · Support staff training, workflow planning and cost-control initiatives. Qualifications · At least 3 years of relevant freight forwarding experience; 5 or more years preferred. · Strong working knowledge of U.S. air and ocean imports, trucking and warehouse coordination. · Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university preferred, ideally in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Business or a related field. · Professional spoken and written English and Mandarin required. · Strong customer service, problem-solving, organizational and independent decision-making skills. · Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. · CargoWise experience advantageous. · Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced logistics environment.
