Duties Develop and nurture strategic relationships with freight carriers through proactive communication and account management. Negotiate rates, terms, and service agreements to secure optimal freight solutions aligned with company goals. Coordinate dispatch operations by scheduling pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely execution of freight movements. Manage data entry related to shipments, carrier details, and transaction records using systems like AS400 to maintain accurate logs. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline supply chain processes and resolve any issues that arise during transit. Conduct regular performance reviews with carriers to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. Utilize B2B sales techniques to expand carrier network and increase freight capacity within the dispatch service. Requirements Proven experience in negotiation, account management, or inside sales within the freight or logistics industry. Strong customer relationship management skills with a focus on building trust and long-term partnerships. Knowledge of freight operations, supply chain fundamentals, and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers. Familiarity with data entry systems such as AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning tools. Excellent communication skills to effectively manage B2B sales interactions and resolve issues promptly. Ability to analyze data and leverage insights for continuous improvement in dispatch processes. Experience in sales management or inside sales roles related to logistics or supply chain services is preferred.
