Heavy Machinery Mover / Rigger

Pay: $26.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience. Job Type: Full-Time. Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00am - 2:30pm Lawson Drayage is hiring a Heavy Machinery Mover / Rigger to join our team! We are looking for dependable, mechanically inclined individuals with experience in industrial rigging, heavy equipment, or machinery moving. This hands-on position involves safely lifting, loading, securing, and relocating heavy machinery at customer locations and job sites. Rigging experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Heavy Machinery Mover / Rigger – Key Responsibilities Safely lift, move, load, unload, and position heavy machinery and industrial equipment. Use chains, binders, ratchet straps, and other rigging equipment to secure loads. Operate or assist with forklifts, hoists, cranes, jacks, rollers, and overhead lifts. Assist with determining equipment weights, center of gravity, and proper lifting methods. Load and unload semi-trucks, ensuring equipment is properly secured. Use hand and power tools to assemble, disassemble, crate, and uncrate equipment. Inspect rigging equipment and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Work closely with team members and follow all company safety procedures. Heavy Machinery Mover / Rigger – Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and equipment. 2+ years of rigging, machinery moving, or related industrial experience preferred. Experience with chains, binders, ratchet straps, and load securement preferred. Forklift experience and/or ability to become forklift certified. Valid driver's license and high school diploma or GED. Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of the team. Basic computer skills for training and operational functions. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 lbs. Ability to perform frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and twisting. Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in noisy industrial environments. Ability to safely maneuver heavy equipment using appropriate tools and machinery.
