Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Truck Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our fleet, including trucks, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and utilize your mechanical knowledge to keep operations running smoothly. A strong background in dealership experience, heavy equipment operation, and automotive diagnostics will set you apart as a key contributor to our maintenance team. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on heavy trucks, including tractor-trailers and diesel engines, utilizing schematics and electronic diagnostic tools. Repair and maintain mechanical systems such as suspensions, hydraulics, brakes, shocks & struts, and air brake systems to ensure safety compliance and operational efficiency. Conduct fabrication work and welding repairs on heavy equipment components to restore structural integrity. Service and repair industrial equipment like cranes, hyrails, forklifts, using power tools and hand tools. Troubleshoot electrical systems within vehicles and equipment, including automotive electrical system repair and automotive diagnostics. Perform tire service, wheel alignments, suspension adjustments, and HVAC repairs on various machinery. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed to ensure compliance with safety standards. Requirements Proven experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic or in a dealership setting with hands-on repair expertise. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Ability to read schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance apparatus. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures for trucks, trailers, industrial equipment, and other heavy-duty vehicles. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to support truck drivers and fleet operators effectively.
