In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and service vehicles using automotive electrical system repair, transmissions, suspension, brakes, hydraulics, and engine troubleshooting techniques. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, air brake inspections, wheel alignments, and shocks & struts replacement to maximize vehicle longevity. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems and electrical issues efficiently. Repair and fabricate components using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet safety standards and operational needs. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Assist with heavy equipment operation and perform repairs on excavators, forklifts, industrial equipment, and other specialized machinery. Using Samsara app to track and prioritize needs. Skills Proven experience working as a Heavy Equipment Truck Mechanic or in a dealership environment with strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and heavy truck systems. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical system repair, hydraulics, HVAC systems for vehicles and equipment. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues effectively. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts safely and efficiently. Familiarity with welding techniques including soldering for component repairs or fabrication projects. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including tire service, brake repair, suspension alignment, shocks & struts replacement. Experience with service technician tasks involving power tools, hand tools, heavy lifting equipment and equipment maintenance routines. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
