Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This specialized role focuses on operating mobile material handlers and hydraulic cranes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials using advanced heavy hydraulic machinery, while strictly adhering to workplace safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate heavy hydraulic material handlers equipped with various industrial attachments, including grapples, magnets, and clamshell buckets. Routine Maintenance: Perform daily pre-operation inspections, minor equipment lubrication, fluid top-offs, and basic cleanings. Promptly report any mechanical deficiencies or repair needs to the maintenance team. Documentation & Compliance: Accurately complete daily logs, inspection sheets, and material handling reports to ensure compliance with company and regulatory guidelines. Site Safety: Maintain a clean work area and cooperate with ground ground crew to ensure a secure, hazard-free job site. Qualifications & Skills Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of verifiable experience operating heavy equipment, with a specific focus on hydraulic mobile material handlers (e.g., Sennebogen, Fuchs, Caterpillar) or mobile hydraulic cranes. Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with specialized attachments (grapples, magnets, buckets). Safety First Mindset: Proven track record of safe operation in fast-paced production environments. Dependability: Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Compensation & Benefits Competitive Hourly Pay: Commensurate with experience.
