Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Mechanic

Truck Mechanic- Catalina Express We are looking to hire a qualified mechanic to join our shop team. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Truck Mechanic. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of CNG-powered trucks. This job offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and utilize your mechanical skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Conduct repairs and maintenance on trucks, belt trailers, and milk tankers. The truck fleet is composed of Kenworth T680’s and Peterbilt 579’s with Cummins ISX engines and Allison/Eaton Transmissions. Diagnose and repair CNG engines, transmissions, air brake systems, electrical systems, and other key components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Troubleshoot complex issues such as suspension problems, HVAC systems, wheel alignments, and welding repairs. Assist with equipment assembly, tire service, electrical diagnostics, and general maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently. Maintain detailed and organized service records for repairs performed. Skills Proven experience with heavy duty truck servicing and maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge of CNG engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brake systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex machinery issues. Good communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and operators.
