Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

Position Description Responsible for maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing company-owned heavy-duty diesel trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. This position supports the company’s internal fleet operations and ensures all vehicles and equipment remain safe, reliable, and DOT compliant. Primary Job Duties Perform preventative maintenance on company-owned diesel trucks and equipment. Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related components. Maintain and repair air brake systems, suspension, steering, and drivetrains. Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems. Perform oil changes, fluid services, and filter replacements. Conduct routine vehicle and equipment inspections. Perform maintenance and repairs necessary to meet DOT safety requirements. Maintain maintenance logs and repair records for company vehicles. Identify mechanical issues before they result in equipment breakdowns. Perform emergency repairs on company equipment when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe maintenance area. Equipment Serviced Company-owned dump trucks. Heavy-duty diesel trucks. Tractor trailers. Concrete and construction equipment. Company-owned trailers. Support vehicles and fleet equipment. Employment Classification This position is strictly for the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment owned or operated by Total Concrete Services LLC. The mechanic performs maintenance solely for the company’s internal fleet operations.
