AMCORPJob Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic Fleet Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team in the Concrete Ready-Mix Industry. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of heavy-duty Concrete Mixer Trucks and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of industrial and heavy equipment, including trucks, excavators, cranes, and farm machinery, in a fast-paced environment. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will be essential in keeping our fleet on the road and in top condition. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, and other vehicle systems using schematics and automotive electrical system repair techniques. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and equipment inspections to prevent breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving hydraulics, HVAC systems for vehicles and equipment, suspension components, and electrical systems with precision diagnostics. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment to facilitate repairs or replacements of large parts or assemblies. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members regarding repair status and ensuring timely completion of work orders. Experience Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician in a dealership or industrial setting. Strong background in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, heavy truck repair, and industrial equipment repair. Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and hydraulic diagrams is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other farm machinery is preferred. Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high safety standards. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
