In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly, supporting various industrial, agricultural, and transportation operations. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, air brake inspections, wheel alignments, and shocks & struts replacements to prevent breakdowns. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding and hand tools to meet specific operational needs. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers to facilitate repairs or move machinery safely. Troubleshoot automotive electrical systems and perform detailed diagnostics to identify issues accurately. Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed on vehicles and equipment. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to heavy equipment operation, vehicle maintenance, and workplace safety protocols. Skills Extensive dealership experience with heavy truck repair and automotive diagnostics. Proficiency in fabricating parts and components using welding techniques. Strong knowledge of Caterpillar machinery, heavy equipment operation, and farm machinery maintenance. Ability to interpret schematics for electrical systems repair and hydraulic troubleshooting. Skilled in the use of power tools, hand tools, soldering equipment, and other maintenance tools. Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, suspension systems, HVAC systems for vehicles/equipment. Experience with vehicle systems such as brakes (including air brakes), alignment procedures, shocks & struts replacement. Familiarity with automotive electrical system repair and troubleshooting heavy equipment electrical issues. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining a focus on precision during repairs or installations. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members regarding vehicle or equipment issues.
