Grocery Store Attendant

Job Summary Viet Hoa Food Market is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Grocery Store Attendant to support daily store operations and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment. This role involves assisting customers, stocking shelves, organizing grocery products, maintaining displays, monitoring inventory, and helping ensure the store operates efficiently. Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide courteous, helpful service. Assist customers with locating grocery items and specialty food products. Answer general questions about product availability and store merchandise. Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with grocery products. Organize merchandise to maintain neat, attractive, and accessible displays. Check product labels, packaging, and expiration dates as required. Rotate stock and follow proper product storage procedures. Assist with receiving, unloading, and organizing merchandise deliveries. Monitor shelf availability and report low-stock items to supervisors. Maintain clean aisles, shelves, counters, checkout areas, and workspaces. Assist with bagging groceries and checkout tasks when needed. Handle food products carefully and follow food safety guidelines. Identify damaged or expired products and report them promptly. Help customers with routine shopping requests and product questions. Assist with inventory checks, restocking, and merchandise organization. Support opening, closing, and general store maintenance duties. Follow store policies, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety guidelines. Work cooperatively with coworkers during busy shopping periods. Perform other grocery store support duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous grocery store, retail, stocking, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Friendly, professional, and customer-oriented attitude. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and store procedures. Willingness to learn about grocery products and proper product handling. Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow safety guidelines. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
