Grocery Operations Associate

Job Summary Franklin Food Market is seeking a Grocery Operations Associate to support daily grocery store operations, inventory management, merchandise stocking, and customer service. This role helps maintain product availability, organize shelves and storage areas, receive deliveries, monitor product quality, and ensure the store remains clean, safe, and welcoming for customers. Stock shelves, replenish merchandise, and maintain organized product displays. Receive, inspect, sort, and organize incoming grocery deliveries. Verify product quantities, labels, prices, and delivery documentation. Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies. Rotate products according to expiration dates and applicable storage procedures. Remove expired, damaged, or unsuitable merchandise from shelves. Assist customers with product inquiries and help them locate grocery items. Maintain clean and organized shelves, aisles, stockrooms, and storage areas. Assist with inventory counts and update stock records as required. Support promotional displays, product pricing, and merchandising activities. Coordinate with department supervisors and other store team members. Follow food safety, sanitation, loss-prevention, and workplace safety procedures. Perform additional grocery operations duties assigned by management. Requirements Previous grocery, supermarket, retail, warehouse, or customer service experience is an asset but not required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer and inventory recordkeeping abilities. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move merchandise safely. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Preferred Skills Experience with grocery stocking and merchandise replenishment. Familiarity with inventory systems and barcode scanners. Knowledge of product rotation and basic food safety practices. Strong time management and multitasking abilities. Ability to identify inventory discrepancies and report issues promptly. Good teamwork and problem-solving skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
