Grocery Clerk

Responsibilities Stock shelves efficiently using inventory control techniques and materials handling equipment such as pallet jacks and RF scanners Assist customers with product inquiries, providing excellent customer service and product knowledge across grocery items including produce and packaged goods Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts when certified, to load, unload, and organize shipments Maintain cleanliness of the store environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring aisles are clear for safety and merchandising standards Manage shipping and receiving processes accurately, verifying inbound and outbound shipments with proper documentation Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring products are presented attractively to maximize sales Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting while practicing safe lifting practices to prevent injuries Qualifications Previous retail store experience or grocery store experience preferred; familiarity with produce and grocery products is a plus Ability to operate inventory management systems, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, inventory control, and merchandising tasks Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking Basic math skills for inventory counting, pricing accuracy, and transaction processing Proven customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters positive shopping experiences Join us in creating a vibrant shopping environment where teamwork, safety, and customer satisfaction are at the forefront!
