Duties Operate grain handling equipment such as conveyors, loaders, and tankers to facilitate the movement and storage of grains. Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of grain bags or containers to ensure efficient workflow. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to uphold safety standards and prevent equipment failure. Assist with the loading and unloading of grain shipments, ensuring proper material handling procedures are followed. Follow strict safety protocols during all operations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Support food processing activities by maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety standards in production areas. Use basic math skills for measuring grain quantities, calibrating equipment, and recording accurate data during operations. Experience Previous experience in the milling industry or agriculture is highly preferred. Familiarity with mechanical systems, machine operation, and equipment maintenance is advantageous. Hands-on experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts or tankers is desirable; certification is a plus. Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing or food processing environments is essential. Experience with grain handling, farming activities, or food production processes will help you excel in this role. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math proficiency for inventory tracking, measurements, and data recording.
