Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dealership Parts Manager to oversee the parts department within our automotive dealership. This role involves managing inventory, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining effective communication with team members and suppliers. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive parts knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and a customer-focused approach to support the dealership’s operational success. Duties Manage and oversee the inventory of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring stock levels are maintained efficiently and accurately. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their parts needs, answering inquiries, and offering expert advice on automotive parts and accessories. Coordinate with internal departments such as service and sales to fulfill parts orders promptly and accurately. Maintain effective communication with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement of parts and resolve any supply issues. Monitor and control inventory costs, track sales trends, and implement strategies to optimize profitability. Supervise parts department staff, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure high performance standards. Ensure compliance with safety standards and dealership policies in all aspects of parts management. Keep detailed records of inventory transactions, orders, returns, and stock movements for reporting purposes. Skills GM Parts Experience preferred. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, including familiarity with dealership-specific systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Proven experience in inventory management within an automotive or related industry. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Effective internal communication skills to coordinate across departments smoothly.
