We offer competitive hourly wage (based on experience) a complete benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, 401(k) plan with company match and ongoing training / development, life insurance, etc. Job Description: As a Generator Technician / Diesel Mechanic , you will be responsible for the inspection, performing maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and start-ups of diesel-powered generators and related equipment. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure our clients' power systems operate efficiently and reliably. JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on generators Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in generator systems Inspect, test, and maintain transfer switches, control panels, and fuel systems Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams Maintain accurate records daily of work performed and parts used Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations Provide on-site customer support and maintain positive client relationships Responsible for tracking daily time Keep an organized and clean service truck Willingness to participate in the responsibility of a 24/7 on call technician Requirements: High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree preferred Minimum 5 years of experience working with diesel engines and generator systems Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently in the field Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record Computer skills for service documentation and email communication Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in various environments Transfer switch experience Switch gear experience Preferred Qualifications: EGSA certification (Electrical Generating Systems Association) Experience with brands such as Cummins, Caterpillar, Kohler, Generac, etc. OSHA 10/30 certification Schedule: Monday to Friday On-call rotation (after-hours and weekends) Job Type: Full-time Salary: Commensurate with Experience Work authorization: United States (Required) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.00 - $70.00 per hour Experience: relevant: 5 years (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Work Location: Multiple locations
