YOUR LOGISTICS CORPThe General Manager will work directly with the VP of Operations to oversee all aspects of operations at our Flower Mound, TX distribution center. This role requires strong business acumen and leadership skills to manage logistics, distribution, warehousing, procurement, planning, safety, regulatory compliance, and cost management. The General Manager will report to the VP of Operations and will work closely with cross-functional departments. Key Responsibilities · Oversee daily operations of the facility, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. · Establish priorities for the distribution center team, collaborating closely with the VP of Operations, Operations Managers, and shift supervisors to ensure efficient resource utilization. · Promote an environment characterized by open communication and autonomy among team members. · Oversee all distribution center operations, including shipping, distribution, receiving, pick-and-pack, fulfillment, replenishment, inventory control, and storage solutions. · Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance operational processes and workflows. · Ensure timely delivery to customers while meeting established service level agreements. · Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners to negotiate favorable terms. · Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance. · Monitor departmental expenditures and labor costs to ensure alignment with organizational budgets and implement cost-saving measures. · Manage and enhance distribution center performance while addressing supply chain operations and planning issues, contributing to the company’s strategic leadership. · Develop and implement an ongoing operational improvement program, identifying opportunities for process and procedural enhancements to increase profitability and reduce costs, all while maintaining timely service delivery. · Provide consistent feedback on expectations, guidance, and support to staff members to foster a motivated and productive workgroup. · Lead and mentor operations managers, department supervisors, and staff to foster a high-performance culture. · Administer plant rules and procedures, recommending hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations as appropriate. · Assess employee competencies and recommend or provide training to ensure personnel are proficient in company policies and procedures, thereby contributing to achieving departmental goals. · Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety, health, environmental, building, and fire regulations and standards, and ensure that the distribution center and warehouse team adheres to these requirements. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus). - 8 Years of proven experience in a managerial role within operations, logistics, or supply chain management. - Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and supply chain processes. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. - Business and continuous improvement mindset. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications. -Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish) Disclaimer: The job description provided is intended as a general overview of the responsibilities and requirements of the position.
