Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic General Labor / Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. Your proactive approach will help maintain a safe, organized, and productive environment where safety standards are prioritized and inventory accuracy is maintained. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management, equipment operation, and logistics support. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of forklifts including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, lift trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanning equipment for logistics purposes. Load and unload shipments with precision using appropriate material handling equipment while adhering to OSHA and safety protocols. Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and order picking to fulfill warehouse distribution requirements. Manage inventory through accurate barcode scanning, stock replenishment, and warehouse management system updates to ensure inventory accuracy. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting goods, and documenting discrepancies. Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently. Follow warehouse safety standards in production environments, including proper manual handling techniques and adherence to OSHA regulations. Support warehouse management by maintaining organized storage areas, conducting cycle counts, and assisting in warehouse distribution activities. Experience Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or Hi-Lo forklifts is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control procedures, and barcode scanning for logistics is advantageous. Experience in shipping & receiving operations along with familiarity with heavy equipment operation enhances your suitability for this role. Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments including OSHA guidelines for forklift safety protocols is essential. Previous roles involving materials handling, manual lifting, or heavy lifting tasks will support your success in this position. Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse operations management is a plus but not required. Basic math skills are necessary for inventory counting and order accuracy tasks.
