Garden Center and Farm Market- Sales Associate and Christmas Tree Salesperson

Christmas Tree Sales & Seasonal Operations Assist customers with selecting and purchasing Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, and other seasonal holiday merchandise. Help unload, organize, display, and maintain Christmas trees throughout the holiday season. Provide friendly customer service and answer questions about tree varieties, sizes, freshness, and care. Assist with wrapping, netting, carrying, and loading Christmas trees onto customers’ vehicles. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe Christmas tree sales area. Assist with setting up seasonal displays and decorating the market and garden center for the holidays. Support other seasonal tasks as needed during the busy holiday period. Customer Service & Sales Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance. Help customers select plants, flowers, vegetables, gardening supplies, and farm market products. Answer questions about products, plant care, and seasonal offerings. Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately. Operate a forklift, and other small equipment Maintain attractive, organized, and well-stocked sales areas. Assist with seasonal promotions, displays, and merchandising. General grounds maintenance Garden Center & Plant Care Water, maintain, and care for plants, flowers, shrubs, and other nursery stock. Monitor plant health and help maintain clean, appealing displays. Receive, unload, organize, and price plant and supply deliveries. Restock garden center merchandise and assist with inventory management. Help customers load purchases into their vehicles when needed. Must be able to lift 40lbs Farm Market Operations Stock and display fresh produce, local goods, and other market merchandise. Monitor product quality and freshness. Keep shelves, counters, displays, and customer areas clean and organized. Assist with receiving deliveries and maintaining inventory. General Maintenance & Hands-On Projects Assist with basic carpentry, repairs, and general property maintenance. Help build, repair, or maintain shelving, plant benches, display stands, tables, and other fixtures. Use basic hand tools and power tools safely when needed. Assist with seasonal setups, outdoor displays, and improvements to the market and garden center. Perform general cleaning, organizing, and upkeep of indoor and outdoor areas. Qualifications Friendly, positive attitude with strong customer service skills. Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Interest in plants, gardening, agriculture, or local products is a plus. Previous retail, nursery, garden center, or farm market experience is preferred but not required. Basic carpentry, maintenance, or repair experience is a plus. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry products as needed. Willingness to perform a variety of physical, hands-on tasks throughout the workday. Flexible availability during busy seasons, weekends, and holidays as needed.
