Status: Full-Time Pay: $20 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9am-5:15pm Work Location: 155 Howell St. Dallas, TX 75207 Position Summary Scout Design Studio is seeking a dependable, hardworking Showroom Associate to support the day-to-day operations of our showroom and warehouse. This is a hands-on, physically active position focused on moving, handling, staging, loading, unloading, and organizing furniture and merchandise. The role requires regular physical activity and time on your feet, including moving large or heavy pieces of furniture and assisting with inventory transfers, customer pickups, deliveries, and showroom resets. Key Responsibilities: Furniture & Inventory Operations Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver furniture, artwork, accessories, and other merchandise. Transfer inventory between the showroom, warehouse, and staging areas. Load and unload furniture from trucks and vehicles. Receive, organize, and put away incoming merchandise. Pick customer orders and stage items for pickup or delivery. Assist customers with safely loading purchases into their vehicles. Communicate inventory movements between the showroom and warehouse. Showroom & Facility Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and functional showroom and storage areas. Reposition furniture and merchandise as needed for showroom resets and operational needs. Assist with artwork installation, wall patching, and other basic physical projects. Break down boxes, remove packing materials, sweep, and keep work areas clear. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Support warehouse tasks and other physical projects as needed. Team & Daily Operations Follow proper procedures for handling, moving, loading, and storing merchandise. Work safely when handling large, heavy, or awkward items. Communicate clearly with team members to coordinate daily tasks and inventory movement. Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and step in where needed to keep operations moving. Requirements: This is a physically demanding position , and furniture movement is a regular part of the job. Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to safely move oversized, heavy, and awkward furniture with assistance when needed. Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying. Ability to load and unload vehicles and move merchandise through showroom, warehouse, and staging areas. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work safely in both showroom and warehouse environments. What We're Looking For Reliable, hardworking, and comfortable with hands-on physical work.
