Duties Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey Assist customers with product selection by understanding their needs and offering tailored recommendations Conduct product demonstrations to showcase furniture features, materials, and benefits Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions, cash handling, and cash drawer management Upsell complementary products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store is tidy and visually appealing through effective merchandising Maintain knowledge of current retail store products, promotions, and inventory levels to assist customers confidently Use POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for processing transactions and managing sales data Demonstrate phone etiquette when answering inquiries or directing calls professionally Support inventory management by assisting with stocking and inventory counts as needed Requirements Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially in furniture or home goods environments Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases Proficiency with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math including basic calculations for transactions Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor Knowledge of retail store merchandising standards and product knowledge in furniture or home furnishings Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in cash handling and stock management Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional communication with customers over the phone This vibrant role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their retail expertise while making a positive impact on customers’ homes.
