Fuel Truck Driver (Class B CDL with HazmatTanker Endorsements) Fuel Truck Driver (Class B CDL with HazmatTanker Endorsements) Sanford Contractors is seeking a dependable, safety-minded Fuel Truck Driver to join our family-owned team. This position plays an important role in keeping our equipment fueled, serviced, and ready for daily operations across our construction sites. RoleResponsibilities Safely operate a fuel truck to deliver fuel, lubricants, and other necessary fluids to company equipment at various job sites. Ensure equipment is properly fueled, lubricated, and maintained to support daily production. Inspect equipment, identify potential issues, and report or address maintenance needs to prevent breakdowns. Keep trucks, trailers, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and in good working condition. Follow all applicable OSHA, MSHA, company safety policies, and job-site procedures. Identify and correct safety hazards when possible and report any issues requiring additional attention. Ensure proper rigging, blocking, and equipment handling procedures are followed within rated capacity limits. Participate in daily safety and hazard briefings and maintain accurate time records. Coordinate with site superintendents to confirm equipment and fueling needs before leaving a job site. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, arrive on time, and support daily production goals. Keep work areas free of trash, used rags, discarded parts, and other debris. Provide advance notice of requested time off in accordance with company procedures. QualificationsPhysical Requirements Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements . OSHA, MSHA, forklift, technical, and First Aid/CPR training, as applicable to the position. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, including reading and understanding equipment manuals, safety instructions, and work procedures. Ability to operate equipment safely, recognize maintenance concerns, and adjust to changing job-site priorities. Strong attention to detail, dependability, punctuality, and a commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven ground and areas around trenches. Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds or more, bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, and use hand tools and other equipment.
