Job Summary Redtail Site Services is looking for a CDL Driver with a minimum of two years of experience operating a Front Load Trash Truck (FEL). The Driver will service new home construction projects Monday through Friday. The Driver will operate heavy-duty trucks and is responsible for the collection of new home construction waste. Drivers will transport material to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility when load capacity is met. Drivers must safely maneuver vehicles and navigate congested roadways. Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following tasks: Operates vehicle in accordance with Redtail Site Services Safety Rules, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements, as well as all applicable local, state, and federal laws. Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report). Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Route Manager or Dispatcher. Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by Redtail Site Services or directed by the Route Manager. Works closely with Route Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices. Notifies Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. Notifies Route Manager or Dispatcher of service interruptions, including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles too heavy to service, or potential safety hazards. Communicates customer requests to Dispatcher or Route Manager. Completely dumps all receptacles and leaves the customer’s location clean and free of debris. Follows route assignments as directed and completes end-of-day documentation and checkout process. Performs all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatcher and assists other team members as needed. Travel Requirements Occasional travel for company-required training may be required. Travel may include overnight stays depending on the location and duration of training. Company-authorized travel expenses will be handled in accordance with company policy. Qualifications Experience: Front Load (FEL) Trash Truck experience is required. At least 2 years of previous experience operating a CDL vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent driving experience within the last 7 years. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must hold a current Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License with an air brake endorsement. Acceptable driving record required. Must successfully complete a pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment verification and motor vehicle record review. Must be able to operate both manual and automatic transmissions.
