Freight Handling Technician

Job Description: ARA BREAD DISTRIBUTION INC. is seeking a dependable Freight Handling Technician to support the safe and efficient movement of bread, bakery products, and other freight throughout warehouse and distribution operations. The position involves receiving, handling, organizing, loading, and unloading shipments while maintaining product quality and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities: Load and unload freight from trucks and delivery vehicles. Move and position products within the warehouse and distribution area. Inspect shipments for visible damage or discrepancies. Properly stack, secure, and organize bakery products and other goods. Prepare freight for outgoing deliveries according to shipping requirements. Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse handling equipment as authorized. Verify quantities and assist with receiving and shipping documentation. Maintain clean and organized loading and storage areas. Follow food-handling, workplace safety, and company procedures. Coordinate with warehouse and transportation personnel to keep shipments moving efficiently. Qualifications: Previous warehouse, freight handling, or distribution experience preferred. Ability to lift and move boxes and other freight safely. Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment. Good attention to detail and organizational skills. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
