Responsibilities Coordinate and manage freight shipments across various modes including air freight, ocean (NVOCC), and ground transportation, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with international trade regulations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors through effective communication, account management, and customer service. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI, AS400, and other logistics technology to streamline operations, track shipments, and optimize transportation planning. Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with carriers and clients to maximize profitability while maintaining high service standards. Oversee freight forwarding logistics including customs clearance, trade compliance, FDA regulations, and shipping logistics for international trade. Generate leads through lead generation strategies and develop new business opportunities within the logistics sales and 3PL (third-party logistics) sectors. Manage data entry, dispatching, pricing strategies, and client communication to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. Experience Proven experience in freight brokerage or logistics company roles with a strong understanding of supply chain management and transportation sales. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI protocols, AS400 platforms, and freight forwarding logistics. Knowledge of international trade regulations such as FDA regulations and trade compliance standards. Demonstrated success in B2B sales, account management, negotiation, and client relationship management within the logistics or freight forwarding industry. Experience working with carriers on transportation planning for air freight, ocean freight (NVOCC), LTL (less-than-truckload), FTL (full truckload), and 3PL solutions. Strong skills in customer service, contract negotiation, data entry accuracy, dispatching coordination, and logistics sales strategies. Ability to adapt quickly to evolving industry standards while maintaining excellent communication with clients and carriers.
