Freight Broker

As a Freight Broker, you will be the vital link connecting shippers with carriers to ensure seamless transportation of goods across various modes, including air freight, ocean freight, and ground transportation. Your role is to coordinate, negotiate, and manage freight solutions while building strong relationships with clients and carriers. Duties Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate efficient freight movement Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms to optimize transportation costs and service quality Coordinate freight shipments using transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software such as CRM platforms and EDI systems Manage the entire freight brokerage process from lead generation to dispatching shipments, ensuring timely delivery Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, FDA regulations for relevant shipments, and trade compliance standards Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding shipment status, pricing, and delivery details Prepare detailed documentation including contracts, shipping logs, dispatch records, and invoicing Requirements Proven experience in freight brokerage or logistics sales within a supply chain or transportation management environment Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI, AS400, and freight forwarding logistics platforms Familiarity with international trade regulations, trade compliance procedures, and shipping logistics including air freight and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers Excellent negotiation skills paired with a customer-focused approach to account management and client relationship management Ability to handle data entry accurately while managing multiple shipments simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for reporting, communication, and documentation purposes Experience in logistics company operations such as dispatching, carrier sales, pricing strategies, lead generation, and contract negotiations Strong understanding of supply chain management principles including transportation planning and shipping logistics processes Effective communication skills for client interaction and inside sales activities Join us as a Freight Broker where your expertise will directly impact our clients’ success!
