Krosswood Doors is looking for a detail-driven Freight Analyst to serve as our Subject Matter Expert for all shipping operations, systems, and compliance. In this role, you'll follow and own the end-to-end outbound shipping process — making sure every order ships accurately, on time, and at the right cost, while meeting customer and carrier standards. You'll work side by side with our Packaging & Shipping Manager to improve operational flow, train and coach our shipping clerks, and keep full visibility of every shipment that leaves our building. If you enjoy solving problems, working with carriers, and making processes run better, we'd like to hear from you. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Lead & Train the Shipping Team: Train new and existing shipping clerks on systems, processes, and compliance requirements. Act as the go-to expert for NetSuite, PaceJet, and Home Depot Supplier Hub. Reinforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and coach the team when gaps appear. Communicate routing guide updates and procedural changes. Run Daily Shipping Operations: Schedule and confirm daily carrier pickups. Monitor shipments throughout the day and resolve delays. Manage the email inbox and respond to all shipping inquiries. Provide tracking, BOLs, and Proof of Delivery upon request. Execute and verify NetSuite item fulfillments, ensuring all shipments close by end of day. Work alongside shipping clerks on the floor, especially during high-volume periods. Control Freight Costs & Compliance: Audit freight invoices and dispute incorrect charges. Investigate refused shipments and unpaid freight issues. Maintain compliance with Home Depot routing requirements. Manage and dispute compliance violations and late penalties monthly. Handle Claims & International Shipments: Identify, submit, and manage freight claims and rebuttals, including concealed damage. Track claim payments and coordinate with Accounting. Prepare and verify documentation for Canada shipments and coordinate with carriers on international compliance. Drive Continuous Improvement: Monitor PaceJet, the UPS dashboard, and shipping duration reports. Identify system issues, submit IT tickets, and escalate as needed. Analyze trends in delays, costs, and errors to improve efficiency and accuracy. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, freight, or transportation. Working knowledge of LTL, parcel (UPS/FedEx), and carrier coordination. Experience with an ERP system (NetSuite preferred) and shipping software (TMS) (PaceJet a plus). Familiarity with retailer routing guides and vendor compliance (Home Depot experience a strong plus). Experience auditing freight invoices and filing freight claims. Knowledge of Canada cross-border shipping documentation is a plus. Strong Excel / spreadsheet skills and comfort analyzing data. Excellent communication skills and the ability to train and lead others. Highly organized, accurate, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED: 100% daily shipment completion with no carryover. Zero missed pickups without escalation. High accuracy in system transactions. Reduction in compliance violations and freight costs. Timely issue resolution and communication. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is an on-site position based on our production floor. The role requires regular standing and walking in a warehouse/manufacturing setting, and the ability to support floor activity during peak shipping periods. WHAT WE OFFER: Compensation: $20-$25 (Dependent on Experience). Schedule: Mon- Fri 07:00 to 03:30pm (Weekends as needed). Benefits: medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k).
