JOB TITLE: Freight Agent – Sales & Business Development (Remote) Job type: Independent contractor (1099) Location: Remote Pay: Commission based on the freight you bring in Schedule: US business hours ABOUT US TLS is a growing freight brokerage building a team of freight agents. We provide the training, systems and back-office support so you can focus on building customer relationships and growing your book of business. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for driven sales professionals who bring real value to the table, whether that's a strong sales track record, client relationships or business connections. Freight experience is not required. We'll teach you the freight side of the business. WHAT YOU'LL DO Find and build relationships with companies that ship products, such as manufacturers, distributors, retailers and warehouses Win and manage your own shipper accounts Quote freight and work with our team to cover loads with reliable carriers Keep customers updated and make sure every load is handled professionally Track your calls, quotes and accounts in our systems WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Proven experience in B2B sales, account management or business development Business contacts at companies that ship products are a big plus Logistics, warehousing or dispatch experience is a plus Confident on the phone and comfortable prospecting new accounts Self-motivated, coachable and results-driven Able to work US business hours Reliable computer, internet connection and a quiet workspace WHAT WE OFFER Full training on freight brokerage and our transportation management system (TMS) A dedicated mentor during your first 90 days Commission on the freight you bring in, with a clear path to a higher split as you grow Back-office support for carrier setup, billing and collections Fully remote work HOW TO APPLY Apply through Indeed and answer the screening questions.
