This is a hands-on material-handling position responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, staging, and organizing materials throughout the facility and yard. The Forklift Operator / Yard Driver will operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, maintain accurate material-movement records, and help ensure the warehouse and yard remain organized and efficient. The position may also assist with moving trailers, containers, equipment, or other materials throughout the facility or yard based on operational needs. Candidates with previous experience in forklift operation, yard driving, warehousing, shipping and receiving, manufacturing, production, logistics, or industrial environments are encouraged to apply. What You Will Be Doing Key responsibilities and functions may include, but are not limited to: Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, stage, and organize materials. Move trailers, containers, equipment, or materials throughout the facility and yard as required. Verify materials, quantities, and locations while completing material movements. Stage materials and equipment to support warehouse, production, shipping, and operational needs. Complete required pre-shift equipment inspections and report damaged, unsafe, or malfunctioning equipment. Maintain accurate material-movement, inventory, activity, and completed-work records. Safely stack, position, retrieve, and organize materials in designated warehouse and yard locations. Maintain organized travel paths, loading areas, staging locations, and work areas. Monitor surrounding equipment, vehicles, and pedestrian traffic while operating powered equipment. Perform basic operator-level equipment care, including fueling or charging equipment and maintaining clean equipment. Communicate material locations, inventory discrepancies, equipment concerns, and operational issues to the appropriate team members. Meet daily productivity and material-handling expectations while maintaining accuracy and safe work practices. Assist with general warehouse, yard, shipping and receiving, or material-handling duties as needed. What We're Looking For Previous forklift, powered industrial truck, yard driving, or material-handling experience. Previous experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving, manufacturing, logistics, production, or industrial environments is preferred. Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment in warehouse and yard environments. Ability to safely load, unload, stage, stack, and organize materials. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work procedures, and material-handling requirements. Ability to maintain accurate inventory and material-movement records. Strong awareness of surroundings when working around pedestrians, vehicles, equipment, and other workplace hazards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
