Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker
ConfidentialJob Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, operating various types of material handling equipment, and ensuring the safe and accurate movement of goods throughout the facility. Duties Operate a range of warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently. Perform order picking using barcode scanning systems, ensuring accuracy in shipping and receiving processes. Load and unload trucks while adhering to OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols. Manage inventory levels through proper materials handling, manual handling techniques, and utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS). Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment. Assist with warehouse organization, storage layout, and distribution tasks to streamline warehouse operations. Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipments, updating inventory records, and maintaining accurate documentation. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklift trucks (including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo) in a warehouse environment. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management practices. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift safety protocols and materials handling procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling guidelines. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Prior experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse supervision is preferred but not required.
