Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Warehouse Forklift Driver Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Driver Department: Warehouse / Operations Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Forklift Driver to support daily warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory, organizing warehouse materials, and maintaining an accurate and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse material-handling equipment. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles. Move, stack, and organize pallets and inventory throughout the warehouse. Verify quantities, product identification, and condition of materials being received or shipped. Safely transport materials to designated storage or production areas. Assist with picking, staging, and preparing orders for shipment. Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report maintenance or safety issues. Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and warehouse policies. Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas. Complete shipping, receiving, inventory, and equipment documentation as required. Assist with general warehouse duties when needed. Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, drivers, supervisors, and other departments. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred. Current forklift certification or willingness to complete company-required training. Ability to safely operate a forklift in a busy warehouse environment. Ability to read and understand basic shipping, receiving, and inventory documents. Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to [X] pounds. Ability to climb on and off warehouse equipment safely. Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions. Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. Safety Expectations Safety is a top priority. The Warehouse Forklift Driver is expected to follow all workplace safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), operate equipment responsibly, and immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, or equipment problems to management.
