Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator and become a vital part of our warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of material handling equipment, including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and forklifts, to efficiently load, unload, and organize inventory. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse distribution processes while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load and unload goods. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning tools to track shipments accurately. Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy materials and stacking pallets while adhering to OSHA safety protocols. Assist with order picking and shipping & receiving processes to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation of all material handling equipment. Follow warehouse safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents and promote a safe working space. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing inventory, managing stock levels, and conducting regular cycle counts. Experience Proven experience operating forklift trucks and other material handling equipment in a warehouse or distribution center setting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management techniques. Knowledge of warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols. Experience with order picking, shipping & receiving procedures, and heavy lifting tasks. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts. Previous warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management system operations is a plus. Strong understanding of manual handling practices, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling best practices.
