Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload trailer parts, steel components, and finished products throughout the manufacturing facility and yard. This role supports production, shipping, and inventory operations by ensuring timely and accurate material movement. Forklift Operator Responsibilities: · Safely and Efficiently maneuver the Forklift through a populated environment · Safely move pallets, trailers, and raw materials as needed within the plant · Daily safety inspections · Communicate with personnel · Other duties as assigned Requirements: · Forklift operating experience is required · Forklift operating experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred · Ability to uphold safety practices through the shift · Must pass a written and physical forklift operating examination prior to hire · Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted Work schedule general hours are 6am-3pm M-Thurs and 6am-12pm on Friday. Due to production demands, staffing shortages, or business needs, employees may be required to work overtime. Refusal to work mandatory overtime without prior approval may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. The company will strive to provide reasonable notice of required overtime. However, in urgent or emergency situations, immediate overtime may be necessary without prior notice.
